Festivals and Events
Western North Carolina is known for it's year round activities and family oriented events, come join the fun where locals and visitors share in the celebration.
Asheville is famous for the annual July Bele Chere gathering of local and national bands and the NC Mountain State Fair in September. Kicking off the new year in January is the Asheville Fringe Art Festival. The Festival of Flowers at the Biltmore Estates runs from April through May, July is the Shindig on the Green, the Ashefest Music and Arts Festival and the Goombay African-Caribbean style festival in August, the Lake Eden Arts Festival (LEAF) in October and to start off the Christmas season the Grove Park Inn features the National Gingerbread Competition November to January. Hendersonville features the Garden Jubilee Festival in May, Street Dances from July through August on Mondays and Music on Main Street Fridays from June through August.
