Dupont State Forest has over 10,000 acres of forest and trails for hiking, biking, horseback riding and waterfalls.
Triple Falls and Hooker Falls are two waterfalls with easy access located in the Dupont State Forest. Hooker falls is the smaller of the two but has a nice open water area which is only a few feet deep, lots of families like this area because the kids can play. The park had the lower part closed off so I was unable to video it at this time.
Hooker Falls
Triple Falls is found on the opposite side of the road from Hooker Falls and the parking lot. There are some steeper grades of trails but it is a good hike and the waterfall is worth seeing.
Triple Falls
The amount of water coming down from the falls is relatively constant until we have a large rainfall.
Just past Highlands towards the West is Dry Falls. The name is deceiving since there is always plenty of water coming over the falls. The out cropping of the rock allows you to go behind and take pictures from both sides.
Dry Falls
While you are out near Highlands you should make a side trip to see the White Water Falls. This fall is state run so there is a $2.00 fee per car but they have paved parking, a few picnic tables under cover and the path is fully paved to an upper viewing area and wooden stairs takes you to a second viewing area. There is a lower hiking trail but it does not take you to the water fall.
